Artist Statement I enjoy the challenge of capturing that special look someone has in a portrait. I also love humor in my artistic expressions, like painting my niece as the Equestrian Princess taken from a Valezquez original or Jan and Bill Robinson in "American Gothic", or My in-laws as teenagers in a Norman Rockwell. I am challenged by painting murals. It is a bit more difficult because sometimes you have an audience. I 'm not really motivated nor do I have the time to paint full, large murals but by making the wall look like it is busted out, I got away with making a smaller mural work for Jasmine. She is the blond, curley haired girl on the horse. Her kitty, Yoda, is climbing through the hole. What fun it was painting this. So many times, people have come to me, asking if I can paint this or that... well I am adventurous. I've painted a portrait with a Harley and dune buggy. with a trophy trout, and even an old rotted pumpkin. So have fun with art. If you have an idea I'll try to make it work!Artistically Yours,Sally Brayton
